Boater buzzes swimmers, curses at parents before speeding off

'Concerned parents on the beach began yelling at the occupants of the boat and while doing so the boater returned, began cursing at the people on shore and left in a reckless manner'

Police are looking to identify boaters who came dangerously close to a group of youths who were swimming in a lake east of Blind River.

On August 14 at 6 p.m., OPP responded to a complaint concerning a white boat that came approximately 15-20 feet away from a group of youths swimming at the public beach on Lake Lauzon in the Township of the Northshore.

"Concerned parents on the beach began yelling at the occupants of the boat and while doing so the boaters returned, began cursing at the people on shore and left in a reckless manner," says Constable Bev Gauthier.

Police are looking to identify the four individuals in the white boat bearing serial number KMV2000D0.
