'They should be regulated by the Federal Government to service their customers in a sensible fashion'

The Callander branch of the Royal Bank will close its doors this fall.

To the editor:

Regarding the closing of the Callandar branch of RBC, does the Royal Bank not make enough money to keep a small branch open for the convenience of customers in that area?

This is a rhetorical question of course. They make billions of dollars a year in profit.

The big banks in Canada live in a LaLa land that exists nowhere else in the world. They should be regulated by the Federal Government to service their customers in a sensible fashion.

If I were a Royal Bank customer of the Callandar bank, I would definitely change my accounts to another company. I would suggest The Caisse Populaire just to spite the ********.

The greed of the big banks knows no bounds.
