I am Vasudevan Kaarudaiar, the captain of the North Bay Cricket Club. I am thrilled to announce that our team travelled to Timmins this past weekend (June 1 and 2) to participate in a tri-series against teams from Sudbury and Timmins, and we emerged victorious.
This win is particularly momentous as it marks the first recognized tournament of the season. Despite not having access to proper practice facilities, our team showcased exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork to secure this victory. This achievement underscores the potential and dedication of our players, even in the face of significant challenges.
We hope this victory will shine a light on the flourishing interest in cricket within our community and highlight the need for better infrastructure and facilities. With continued support and investment, we are confident that North Bay Cricket Club and the sport of cricket will continue to thrive and inspire future generations.
