City police say they responded to a report of an individual with a weapon at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall today.
The high school was placed on lockdown.
"Officers have taken the individual into custody and recovered a weapon. No injuries were reported," says police spokesman David Woolley.
"This is all the information we can release at this time. We will be providing a full update on the incident when we are able."
There are numerous reports on social media that say the weapon is a pellet gun and the individual is a student.
Students at the school are telling BayToday that the incident happened at around 12:50 and was "scary,"
They also say there were Snapchat photos of a male student holding a gun on a bus.
Some Grade 10 students said they thought it was just a drill.
Others said they were shaken and scared but news that it was a fake gun surfaced "it calmed us."
BayToday will update this story.
