Police have arrested a North Bay man after a robbery at a local convenience store.
Just before midnight on March 8, a man entered a convenience store in the 1100-block of Cassells Street and approached an employee.
The thief tried to take an item from the employee’s hand, and when unsuccessful, attempted to assault the employee before leaving.
A short time later, the man re-entered the store and stole several items before fleeing
The next day, the North Bay Police Service found and arrested the man.
The employee did not sustain physical injuries and no weapon was used in the attack.
Michael Buchner, 32, of is charged with:
- Robbery with violence
- Fail to comply with a probation order
Buchner was released from custody on an undertaking and is set to appear before the court on April 15.
