AGGRAVATED ASSAULT On the 21st of July during the early evening hours several people were within a residence in the 800 block of Ferguson St. At this time it is alleged that an argument ensued and a woman began attacking a man about the face.

On the 21st of July during the early evening hours several people were within a residence in the 800 block of Ferguson St. At this time it is alleged that an argument ensued and a woman began attacking a man about the face. Another male who was present also attacked this victim. He was kicked several times about the face and eventually fell down a flight of stairs. He was transported to the North Bay General Hospital where he received medical attention. His injuries consisted of facial lacerations, a broken cheekbone and lost several teeth. Det. Cst. Levasseur of the Investigation Section of the North Bay Police Service began investigating and arrested the aggressors the next following days.

Tina KIOKEE 30 years old of Worthington St. E. is charged with Aggravated Assault and 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance.

Michael GARRETT 49 years old of Trout Lake Rd. is charged with Aggravated Assault and reach of Probation. Both remain in custody for bail hearings.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

On the 19th of July during the evening hours it is alleged that a male sexually assaulted a woman within a North Bay residence. Cst. Honeysett and McLeod of the North Bay Police Service began their investigation into the alleged matter and on the 21st of July arrested a male person.

Ronald Edward AMYOTTE 31 years old of Mulligan St. is charged with Sexual Assault and is to appear in court on the 5th of Sept.


LOCK OR LOSE IT PRESS LAUNCH

Today on the 24th of July at 10:30 AM, the North Bay Police Service will be holding a press launch into their Lock Or Lose It campaign.

This event will take place at Headquarters on Princess St. W.

This campaign is a partnership between the Police Service and several corporate citizens including Canada Post. There will be a community wide mail out to encourage people to take time to lock their vehicles and secure personal belongings.

BREAK AND ENTER

Between the 6th and 20th of July thieves broke into an electrical room of North Fibre on Eloy Rd. They then began to remove several hundred feet of copper wire. There is evidence that they had been within the room for a lengthy period of time and had smashed a hole in the wall to gain entry.
