TWO ARRESTED FOR BREAK AND ENTER
On Dec. 21 Cst. Penny Kerr and Joe Gardiner of the North Bay Police Service arrested two individuals in relation to a break and enter that had occurred Dec. 19th.
A 17-year-old is charged with break, enter and theft, possession of stolen property and fraud. The accused is to appear in court Feb. 18.
The second individual, Jamie BEIDERMANN, 23, of McLeod Street, is charged with break, enter and theft, public mischief (in relation to a false complaint to police),
breach of probation and possession of stolen property. He is to appear in court Feb. 17.
ARREST, AND SNOW MCACHINE RECOVERY
In the early morning hours of Dec. 21, Cst. Steve Sproule, and Mark McLeod received a call to attend a residence on 3rd. Av. E. in North Bay, in relation to a snow machine that had just been stolen. The officers along with others of this Service followed the tracks to Thompson Park where the machine had been abandoned in Chippewa Creek. There the officers followed footprints in the snow to a nearby residence. The officers effected an arrest on a male adult without incident.
Dave YLIMAKI, 24, of Highway 63 in Phelps Tp. is charged with theft of the snow machine and breach of undertaking. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
STOLEN VAN
On the 21st of Dec. a 1996 white seven-passenger Plymouth Grand Voyager van was parked in the north end of Northgate Square parking lot at approximately 4
PM. When the owner returned the van was gone.
This van is further described as having Ont. Licence plate #AKBT021 and had a 10" long sticker in the rear window that read "Kids that hunt and trap fish don't mug old ladies"
The van also contained a 51" Toshiba HD TV, a Samsung Home Theatre system just purchased for $2900., a CD Walkman and CDs along with a new Axe also just recently purchased.

Third December weekend RIDE Results
The North Bay Police Service RIDE units were out this weekend, and four officers working this duty stopped approximately 455 motor vehicles in Callander, and on Lakeshore Drive, and McIntyre Street East. One driver was given a roadside test and passed.
There was also one arrest, a 25-year-old woman who was charged with impaired driving and refusal to take a roadside breath test.
