STOLEN PURSES
The North Bay Police Service has recently received several complaints of purses being stolen from their owners while they were shopping in area stores. These purses are generally left unattended within a shopping cart
and the purses are quickly stolen. Shoppers are reminded that vigilance should be exercised at all times concerning their purses.
We would also like to remind the public that this is the time of the year that Christmas parcels are being left within vehicles. This produces an opportunity for thieves to see the packages and then break into the vehicle.
All articles of value should be out of sight in the trunk, or covered up, to discourage these thefts.
Anyone with information on this crime or any other are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 476-8477.
