Renfrew OPP has charged a man after he parked a vehicle in the live passing lane on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside.
Police were conducting patrols on Highway 17 early Tuesday morning when they saw what looked like an abandoned vehicle parked in the passing lanes between Goshen Road and McCowan Drive facing eastbound.
Police approached the vehicle and found the driver sleeping inside.
Kurtis Patrick Matthew Belisle, 33, of Ottawa, is charged with:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Belisle was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 9. His driver's license has been suspended for 90 days.
