Drug trafficking and weapon charges against North Bay man

The North Bay Police Service has arrested a 36-year-old North Bay man on drug trafficking and weapon charges.

At 10:30 a.m. yesterday, officers arrived at a building in the 200 block of Main Street East after a man refused to leave the property.

Upon arrival, police found the man in a stairwell with drug trafficking equipment beside him.

"At this point, the accused was placed under arrest," says a news release.

Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • five grams of fentanyl
  • A knife
  • Drug trafficking equipment

The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $1,500.

Jeremyah Berry, 36, is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Failure to comply with an undertaking
  • Traffic in Schedule I substance

Berry was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
