Drug raid in Sturgeon Falls results in five arrests

On Wednesday, April 20, the Nipissing West Street Crime Unit of the OPP executed a search warrant at a residence on Demers Street in Sturgeon Falls.   

A search of the home and a vehicle led to the seizure of cellphones, cash, drugs suspected Fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine. The value of the drugs seized is believed to be approximately $120,000.

Mario Falardeau, 46, from West Nipissing is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- opioid

He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 2, in West Nipissing.

Maranda Swain 26, from West Nipissing is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance - opioid
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - cocaine
  • Fail to Comply with a probation order

Sheldon Goulbourne, 22,  from Scarborough is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

He was held for bail court, then released on a court order and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 5 in West Nipissing.

Nikolette Leal, 26, from Toronto is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

She was held for bail court, then released on a court order and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 5, in West Nipissing.

Takym Martin-McIntosh, 22, from Newmarket is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Martin-McIntoshwas held for bail court, then released on a court order and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 5, in West Nipissing.
