The West Ferris Ringette Association’s U12 team added to the Association's overall medal count this season by striking gold at a tournament in Cambridge over the weekend. The players came out hard and fast from the outset and dominated round robin play with an 8-2 win over Kitchener, a 10-3 win over Guelph and an 11-6 win over the home town team, the Cambridge Turbos.

The team met Cambridge again in the finals. The sound from the stands was deafening as the West Ferris fans cheered the players on to a decisive 7-2 victory to claim the gold medal.

The wins showcased the team play that makes Ringette such a great sport.

Netminder Beatrice Lloyd was solid between the pipes and every single one of the skaters managed a goal or an assist over the course of the tournament.

It’s been a very successful season so far as West Ferris teams have won gold or silver in every tournament the association has participated in.
