Team Winters off to U20 Nationals

Team Winters, Skipped by 16-year-old Riley Winters, finished at the top with a 5-1 record at the U20 Men's Curling Provincials, securing their berth into the U20 Nationals, after a double round robin of four teams, played over three days in Fort Frances, Ontario. 

Team Winters played in the finals on Sunday morning against Team Rajala from the Northern Credit Union Curling Club for the Northern Ontario Provincial Championship.

After an exciting back-and-forth game between both teams, it came down to the last rock, where Rajala was victorious to win the title. 

Team Winters will now be Northern Ontario Team 2 at the New Holland U20 Canadian Nationals in Summerside, PEI in March.   

Next up for Team Winters is the U18 Northern Ontario Provincials in Timmins Jan 15-19, where it will continue to pursue the dream of winning their own heart. 

Team Winters which plays out of the North Bay Granite Club is comprised of Skip Riley Winters, Third Wesley Decary, Second Grayson Gribbon, Lead Aidan Baxter, and coach Steve Decary.
