The All Risks Insurance U18 AA Ice Boltz bounced back in a big way this past weekend, with two wins over the King City Royals.
Madison Moore, Maddy Garagan and Chloe Frank were the goal scorers in game one, with assists going to Abbygale Schaffner, Stephanie Hatch, Taylor Yeo and Emily Brunet. Hannah Brunton took the 3-1 win between the pipes.
Game two resulted in a 2-0 Boltz win, with Taylor Yeo getting on the board first, unassisted. Camryn Walker added an empty net tally to end the game. Anna McPherson was in goal for the shutout.
The previous weekend saw the Boltz opening the Best of the Nest Showcase in Oakville with a 2-1 loss to the home town team. Maddy Southall opened the scoring for the Boltz with a rocket of a shot in the 3rd period.
Game two ended in a loss to Kingston. Taylor Yeo and Madison Moore were the goal getters in game 3, contributing to a 4-2 loss against London.
The Boltz matched up against Stoney Creek in game 4. Madison Moore scored the lone goal in the 3-1 loss, her second of the tournament. Goaltender Hannah Brunton made an incredible 37 saves on 39 shots, with the 3rd goal heading in to an empty net.
Game 5 found the Boltz up against London for a second time. Anna McPherson made 32 saves in the 4-2 loss. Chloe Gravelle and Chloe Chemery added to the Boltz goal scoring, wrapping up a great effort by the entire team.
Other team members include forwards Ava Assinewai, Sophie Bywater, and Danika West. Ella Ouellette and Gracie Roynon add to the strong defence crew. The Boltz head out of town this week, looking to continue their success at the Two Nations Showcase in Brampton.
