The U14 Bulldogs' Connor Mashford battles an Outlaws lineman as QB Tye Watkins gets the throw away in OSFL action on Sunday in Orangeville. The Bulldogs won 32-0.

The U14 Bantam Bulldogs travelled to Orangeville to take on the Outlaws and earned themselves a 32-0 win to put them at 3-2, good for fourth in the OSFL U14 East standings.

The Bulldogs fired on all cylinders on Sunday. Calum Grant led the offence with two touchdowns from quarterback Tye Watkins. Grant eclipsed 200 all-purpose yards. Connor Mashford ran it in for another six points and Zaid Kazi ran in a nice sweep for his first OSFL touchdown. Grayson Lueder moved the sticks on a tough run, gaining 30 yards. Mateo Rochon hauled in a 20-yard reception from Luke Fiddler for another major score. Despite swirling winds, Carson Paterson managed to convert two extra points.

Defensive coordinator Kris Baron was pleased the Bulldogs worked to blank the opposing offence for the second week in a row.

On the defensive side of the ball, Cameron Smetana had seven tackles, three tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries. Will Lundholm also had a fumble recovery and Connor Mashford got an interception for the Bulldogs. The Bantam Bulldogs will be practicing hard all week to prepare for the undefeated Peterborough Wolverines, who will visit the Dog Pound on Sunday at noon.

In U16 Junior Varsity action on Saturday in Sudbury, the Bulldogs had their chances but came up short in a 19-14 final against the rival Spartans. The teams played in a steady rain throughout the second half causing the 'Dogs' offence to stall on potential game-winning drives. Teodor Nadeau took two Dayne Meyer passes to the house. Defensive players were the stars for the Bulldogs on the day as the unit allowed only one major score. The U16 team drops to 1-4 but is still in the final playoff spot in the U16 East. The Bulldogs face Peterborough on Sunday at 2 p.m. on Mike O'Shea Field at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex.

The undefeated NFC Senior Men's team also took to the road and met their match in the GTA All-Stars on a rainy Saturday evening. Nick Laporte scored the lone touchdown for the 2-1 Bulldogs in a 41-6 drubbing. The Bulldogs now have a two-week bye to heal up and put in some reps on the field.
