The U11 Panthers played four games over the weekend taking one of four against the U10 Voyageurs.

The two teams played in Sudbury on Saturday and then North Bay on Sunday.

In the first game, the Panthers collected eight hits to the Junior Voyageurs six hits but it wasn't enough to get the job done. Griffin Silverthorn and Chase Boudreault each had two-hit games for North Bay.  Ryder Sprague hit a single to cash in Vincent Muratore in the top of the fourth to put the Panthers on the board but they trailed 9-1 heading into the fifth inning. North Bay cashed in three more in the top of the fifth but the game would end 12-4. Silas Lebel, Griffin Silverthorn and Ryder Sprague pitched for the Panthers combining for four strikeouts on the day.

In the afternoon game,  the offense came alive as the North Bay Panthers put up nine runs in the game.  The Junior Voyageurs though would score thirteen. Deacon Prytula, Griffin Silverthorn and Cole Roussy led the team with two hits each. Ryder Sprague and Ryerson Davis took the mound for the Panthers. Davis had three strikeouts in three innings pitched.

The game was played at Kin Park and ended 13-9 in favour of Valley East.

Onto Sunday now and the two teams met up again, this time at Kelly Field in North Bay.

The Panthers outscored the Junior Voyageurs 4-2 in this game but it was the pitching of Sullivan O'Reilly that kept the Valley East team at bay.

O'Reilly struck out eleven batters through 4.2 innings. Owen Marson came in for the save facing one batter who drove a hard liner to a diving Deacon Prytula who caught the ball to end the game. O'Reilly, Marson, Boudreault and Roussy all came in to score for the Panthers.

The final game between these two rivals came on Sunday afternoon in the blistering heat.

Deacon Prytula and Cole Roussy both hit doubles in the game leading the Panthers offence while O'Reilly, Marson, Boudreault, Davis and Ken Leggett each added singles for the Panthers. North Bay scored 8 runs in the game but the Junior Voyageurs put up a dozen of their own.

Marson and Prytula put up three strikeouts each but the Valley East Voyageurs came out on top with a final score of 12-8.
