Sledder dies after hitting pressure crack on Lake Joseph

On Saturday, February 26 at 2 p.m. West Parry Sound OPP, responded to an accident involving a snowmobile on Lake Joseph in Seguin Township.

The OPP investigation determined that the driver was travelling on Lake Joseph when it struck a pressure crack. The operator, William Taylor, 63, of Waterdown, Ontario was thrown from the sled and sustained fatal injuries.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team.

The Ministry of Natural Resources, the West Parry Sound Emergency Medical Service and the Seguin Fire Department assisted.
