The board of Northeastern Ontario Tourism (NeONT) is welcoming in Trevor Beard as the Executive Director.

Beard, who has been the Acting Executive Director of NeONT in recent months, brings valuable experience and insight at a time when the tourism sector as a whole is poised for a comeback.

With 14 years in sales, hospitality and destination marketing, Trevor is excited to leverage his knowledge of content marketing, social media and digital strategy to further NeONT’s reach and impact for its members.

Over the past three years with Tourism North Bay, Trevor has been able to develop many relationships with key industry stakeholders and collaborate on numerous tourism marketing initiatives on both a pan-northern level and across the Northeast.

“I’m excited to continue working with this amazing group of dedicated tourism partners and stakeholders and to continue utilizing digital media to help us bring our products to the market,” explained Beard.

During his time with Tourism North Bay, Trevor was involved in a multitude of projects, including the development of a culinary tourism strategy and the redevelopment of the Tourism North Bay brand and website. His experience in board governance from sitting as a Young Professional on the North Bay & District Young Professionals committee, as well as administrative duties for the Tourism North Bay board of directors will allow him to model and foster a proactive and results-orientated leadership style.

“Trevor will be missed, but we are excited that the region as a whole will benefit from this move. As a member of NeONT, Tourism North Bay looks forward to working with him to bring much deserved future growth and prosperity to our partners and stakeholders,” said Steve Dreany, Executive Director of Tourism North Bay.

NeONT is a not-for profit organization dedicated to promoting the region as a premier travel destination with the goal of increasing tourism revenue for our Partners, and the region as a whole. NeONT nurtures productive relationships with Partners and industry by listening to industry feedback and developing targeted marketing initiatives that speak to the region’s (RTO 13A) key travel markets.
