The Warriors of Hope, a resilient team of breast cancer survivors making waves in dragon boat racing, are inviting individuals to join their organization.
Their Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 5, at 6 PM at Our Lady of Fatima (60 Marshall Avenue). This meeting is open to anyone interested in becoming part of the Warriors of Hope.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from guest speaker Kevin Oschefski.
The Warriors of Hope are known for their inspiring journey from breast cancer survivors to dragon boat racing champions, earning recognition across North Bay and beyond. In 2019, they celebrated their 20th anniversary and were honoured by the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame. Their achievements include a gold medal win at the 2022 Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The team remains deeply committed to the community, participating in charitable initiatives and offering support to those affected by breast cancer. Whether as a survivor, an associate member, or a paddler, there are many ways to get involved and make a meaningful impact.
