Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking applications from residents of northeastern Ontario who would be interested in serving a renewable term of up to three years, beginning no later than June 2023, as a member of its Board of Directors.
"We are seeking Board members from northeastern Ontario outside of Sudbury, First Nations or Métis Board members, Black or racialized Board members, and Board members who serve in a leadership role in an academic institution," says a news release.
People who identify as 2SLGBTQ+, and persons with disabilities or from vulnerable populations are also strongly encouraged to put forward an application.
Governance experience is an asset.
The following individuals are not eligible to apply: a member of the professional staff or an employee of HSN; a parent, child, sibling, spouse or common-law partner of the professional staff or an employee at HSN; any person who lives in the same household as a member of the professional staff or an employee of HSN.
The Board’s Governance and Nominating committee will short-list candidates and conduct interviews with selected applicants.
