Community Living North Bay is celebrating 70 years of inclusion and community impact on Thursday, September 12.

Everyone is welcome at this special anniversary event that will take place at the Elks Lodge North Bay. It will feature an afternoon and evening of festivities to honour the organization's rich history, individuals supported, caregivers, and supporters with an ongoing goal of fostering an inclusive community for people with intellectual disabilities.

This drop-in event will feature music from Gord Reid, Ryan Littlejohn and DJ Hiptonic. The North Bay Advocacy Council’s Stella Curtis and Curtis Irish will help deliver our keynote address at 3 along with Mayor Peter Chirico, and Member of Parliament Anthony Rota.  The Home Style Café will host a BBQ and there will be lots of photos and memorabilia from our organization’s last 70 years including a ‘Look Back’ slideshow at 3:30.

The event will continue with the opportunity to contribute to a community quilt, a penny sale, a photo booth, and games. Guests will have the opportunity to socialize, celebrate, and reflect on the progress made and the work still to be done in promoting inclusivity and acceptance in our community.

"As we celebrate 70 years, we reflect on our history and the incredible people who have shaped our journey. This milestone is a testament to our community's dedication to inclusivity and the belief that every individual deserves to live a life with dignity, respect, inclusion, and participation. We look forward to celebrating this special day with the community ", says Waqué, Executive Director of Community Living North Bay

Community Living North Bay warmly invites all community members, partners, supporters and the general public to join in this milestone celebration. No tickets are needed, but a donation to our CLNB Food Bank is appreciated.
