“Our hospital takes care of us when we need it and it keeps us safe especially during these unusual times. Our vision, values and commitment is to our community; families and businesses.” the two said in a news release.

Honorary Tournament Co-Chair, Michael Harris, former Premier of Ontario, opened the tournament with a ceremony on the putting green.

“Under the most unusual circumstances of a pandemic, we are reminded of the incredible importance of our hospital, healthcare workers and frontline workers. This year’s tournament may look and feel a little different than year’s past, but one thing remains constant, we are proud to be supporting our hospital and the care of the people in our community."

Barbara Minogue, thanked the participants for supporting the tournament and for continuing the longstanding tradition of friendship, camaraderie, and a round of golf for a community cause. “My late husband Peter and I found great satisfaction in rallying our community for impactful charities that serve our friends, families, and loved ones."

In January, the Cancer Care, Close to Home campaign celebrated its victory, raising $6.3M. “We are grateful for the community leaders who championed this campaign and for the donors who are giving so generously so that we can provide the best possible patient care locally.” said Paul Heinrich, President and CEO of NBRHC.

Tammy Morison, President of NBRHC Foundation said "Healthcare is truly a partnership between the government, hospital, and community.  Together we can ensure our community has access to advanced medical equipment and the care they need.”
