Woman Charged in Head-On Collision

North Bay OPP responded to a two vehicle head-on collision that took place earlier today (Friday May 12th, 2006) on the Village Road in East Ferris Township (Astorville, Ontario).

At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Friday May 12th, 2006, 32 year old Josee Tampa of Astorville was driving eastbound on the Village Road, just east of St-Thomas D’Aquin School, in a brown Dodge Caravan. Her vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a green Chev Cavalier driven by 30 year old Stacey Marshall of North Bay who was westbound at the time. They were the only occupants in their vehicles and both were transported to North Bay General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Tampa has been charged with Fail to Share Half the Roadway under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. Alcohol was not a factor in this collision.
