CBC's The Hour host George Stroumboulopoulos in partnership with Cisco are leading the charge to move Canadians to do ‘One Million Acts of Green’ and North Bay is getting on the Green campaign.

The local North Bay Million Acts of Green group is encouraging everyone to get behind the effort and help them reach this week’s goal of 1,000 acts of green.

Everyone can do this by using reusable drinking mug for their morning java stop or favourite drink.

Helping the effort is Twigg's Coffee Company at 425 Fraser Street, they will be offering a complimentary coffee this Friday morning for the first 50 persons between 7 & 9 am who bring their own reusable coffee mug and can prove they have registered for the ‘One Million Acts of Green’ on the CBC website.

To get to the website, go to [email protected], sign up, go to groups search and join -- North Bay, Ontario then start selecting your acts of green ... and remember "Going green even in the wintertime is the right thing to do."
