The Powassan Voodoos have added another forward to their roster with the addition of former Kingston U18 AAA Gaels forward Lance Brown.

The 2005 birth year forward netted 7 goals and 3 assists for 10 points in 27 games with the Gaels in the ETAHL last season.

Brown, who has family ties to Powassan, is thrilled to join the Voodoos.

"I'm honoured to become part of the voodoos organization and the community of Powassan," said Brown.

"This is a goal I've wanted for a long time and I can't wait to be a part of this team and look forward to this upcoming season."

Brent Tomlinson, Voodoos associate general manager, was impressed with what he saw scouting the Kingston product this spring.

"Brown is a high-energy player who showcases a distinctive work ethic," said Tomlinson

"He has good hockey intellect that is backed with offensive upside. Lance has the ability to drive the play with strong compete at both ends of the Ice, these tools make him a reliable option in any game situation. We are excited to have him as a member of the Powassan Voodoos for the upcoming campaign."

Brown was originally scouted by Mike Mackley, Voodoos VP of hockey operations, who recently resigned from his position to take on the general manager position with the Lakeshore Patriots of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

"We would like to thank Mike for his contributions over the year's with the Voodoos and we wish him the best with his promotion," said Chris Dawson, Voodoos general manager.

Brown will be in Powassan on July 9 when the Voodoos host one-day prospects camp at Pete Palangio arena in North Bay.
