Lakeshore stabbing victim airlifted to Sudbury hospital

NBPS says no arrests have been made but investigators advise the public the two individuals involved in this incident are known to each other, and there is no risk to the general public

The North Bay Police Service's Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a stabbing incident that resulted in one male being airlifted to Health Sciences North in Sudbury due to his injuries.

On Thursday, June 27, at around 6:30 pm, NBPS patrol officers were dispatched to an incident in the 1200 block of Lakeshore Drive. A male was located on Lakeshore Drive, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was being assisted by individuals who had gathered to help. EMS transported the male to North Bay Regional Health Centre, where he was stabilized and eventually air-lifted to Sudbury. He remains in stable condition.

Police are actively investigating the incident, and at this time investigators can advise the public that the two individuals involved in this incident are known to each other and that there is no risk to the general public.

At this time, no arrests have been made in the incident.

The North Bay Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Unit is requesting the public’s assistance. Investigators are seeking eyewitnesses and possible dash cam footage in the 1200 block area of Lakeshore Drive, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on June 27 that may have captured any portion of the incident.
