OPP say an "unwanted person" has been arrested and charged with multiple offences.
On January 12 at 10:25 a.m., Nipissing West OPP responded to an unwanted person at an establishment on Front Street, Sturgeon Falls.
The unwanted person was known to the police and was arrested for an outstanding warrant. A search found a concealed weapon.
Brandon Koster, 27, from West Nipissing is charged with:
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Resist peace officer
- Fail to comply with a probation order
Koster was held for bail court, then remanded back into custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 18 in North Bay.
