'State of 22 Wing and NORAD mission' theme of Chamber breakfast

The North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce will continue hosting its series of State of the City Breakfast events in the new year.

The buffet at the Grande Event Centre will open at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, for the "State of 22 Wing North Bay and the NORAD Mission Here at Home Breakfast," featuring 22 Wing Commander, Col. Joseph Oldford.

Following the buffet, Col. Oldford will speak at 8 a.m. and provide updates on modernization and capability innovations at 22 Wing, the challenges faced in the defence of North America, and opportunities for local businesses to strengthen partnerships with 22 Wing North Bay. A fireside chat will follow his remarks.

North Bay Mayor Peter Chirico, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli, and Nipissing—Timiskaming MP Anthony Rota have previously served as the featured guests in the breakfast series.

Interested parties are urged to secure their tickets well in advance. RSVP is required. Tickets are $40 for NBDCC members and $55 for non-members.
