On Wednesday afternoon, Nipissing Provincial Liberal incumbent Monique Smith officially opened her campaign office by celebrating, with a room of enthusiastic supporters, the great successes Smith and the McGuinty Government have achieved in Nipissing and throughout Ontario.

With the construction start on two new hospitals, the building of a new children’s treatment centre, the continued four-laning of highway 11 and the unprecedented investment in local infrastructure, Smith has a strong record of Delivering Results for all of Nipissing.

“I’m proud of my record,” Smith said. “I have worked extremely hard to ensure that our local voices have been heard at Queens Park and I think it is evident by looking around the riding that the McGuinty government has listened and delivered.”

If re-elected, Smith plans to build on the success to date, by ensuring that investments continue to flow for Nipissing, focussing on economic development, education and healthcare.

“With the support of the people of Nipissing, there is more work I would like to do,” Smith added. “Together, we have turned the corner and are moving the riding of Nipissing and the Province of Ontario forward in a positive, meaningful way. Now is not the time to turn back the clock to a divide and conquer style of politics.”

“The choice is clear,” Nipissing Provincial Liberal Riding President Nancy Kilgour said. “We can continue to work together building on our great success or we can go backwards to a time of cuts, neglect and division that the Harris/Eves Government forced upon Ontarians.”
