TORONTO - Starting September 12, Canadians shopping at Loblaw Companies Ltd. stores across Canada can help brighten the smile of a woman with cancer with the launch of the third annual Loblaw Companies Ltd. Sparkle campaign in honour of Look Good Feel Better.

Sparkle, which runs from September 12 until September 29, 2007 in more than 450 DRUGStore Pharmacy locations within Loblaw Companies Ltd. stores across Canada as well as all Refresh departments, offers customers the opportunity to purchase a Sparkle star for a $2.00 donation to support Look Good Feel Better. Customers can sign their stars and display them in store.

"Our customers...our employees...everyone knows someone touched by cancer. We're pleased to present the Sparkle campaign again this year so that we can all do our part to support women with cancer."

Look Good Feel Better cosmetic and hair alternatives workshops, led by 1,800 industry trained volunteers, are offered in more than 100 leading cancer care facilities and hospitals across Canada, bringing women with cancer together in safe and supportive environments. The real sparkle?

After 15 successful years in Canada, Look Good Feel Better workshops continue to be available at absolutely no cost to participants.

Look Good Feel Better relies on the support of member companies like Loblaw Companies Ltd. to continue to keep workshops accessible and free.

"Our mission is to provide women with cancer the opportunity to face their treatment looking and feeling their best in the hopes that the improved self image will help them face their cancer with greater confidence and courage," says Sherry Abbott, Executive Director, Look Good Feel Better. * Look Good Feel Better is celebrating its 15th anniversary:

the first workshop in Canada was held in 1992 at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.
