Three people face drug charges after weekend bust

This Sunday at approximately 9:30 p.m., following an ongoing drug trafficking investigation by the North Bay Police Street Crime Unit, police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on the 500 block Worthington Street East.

As a result, North Bay Police arrested and charged: Allen Fernand Leblanc, age 55, of North Bay with:

  • One count of trafficking methamphetamine pills;
  • One count of trafficking marijuana;
  • Five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (crystal meth, marijuana, cannabis resin, morphine and cocaine); and
  • One count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Justine Louise Else, age 27, from North Bay, was charged with:

  • Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine pills and marijuana); and
  • Two counts of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana and oxycodone)

James Allen Butcher, age 33, of North Bay, was charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine pills and marijuana)

As a result of the search of the residence, North Bay Police seized:

  • 960 grams cannabis marihuana;
  • 1908 methamphetamine pills;
  • 50 hydromorphone pills;
  • 30 grams of cocaine;
  • 23 grams of cannabis resin; and
  • 243 grams of marijuana.

The estimated street value of the combined drugs is valued at approximately $37,500. Police also seized $22,000 in Canadian currency and a motor vehicle.

Leblanc was held in custody for bail while Else was released with a court date scheduled for April 21.
