North Bay SCRABBLE Club

A competitive SCRABBLE Tournament was held Saturday, 19 April, in conjunction with the North Bay Literacy Council’s annual SCRABBLE challenge, at Northgate Mall.
Fourteen players, from the North Bay and Sudbury SCRABBLE clubs, participated. Carole Jones (Sudbury) placed first overall, Ken Peters (North Bay) came second, Anne Mei (Sudbury), came third, and Matt Hong (North Bay) placed fourth. Cash and other prizes were awarded to all who played, and a cash donation was made to support the Literacy Council. The North Bay Club wishes to express its gratitude to all those who donated prizes.
The North Bay SCRABBLE Club meets every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Empress Room of the Empire Living Centre. There is no cost to participate, and new members are always welcome.
