Stockfish gets NCAA commit from Holy Cross

Add Jack Stockfish to the growing list of North Bay players playing NCAA Division 1 hockey. 

The 2002 birth year forward playing junior 'A' with the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL) has committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey with Holy Cross University Crusaders which is part of the Atlantic Hockey Association based in Worcester, Massachusetts.  

"I am honoured to announce my commitment to play division 1 hockey and continue my education at Holy Cross," Stockfish stated via social media.  

"Special thanks to everyone along the way who has helped me get this far." 

"The 6'2, 188 pound forward was a 15th round selection of the North Bay Battalion in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. 

He has 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points in 29 regular-season games this season with the Lumber Kings. 

Stockfish is not the first member of his family to play NCAA D 1 hockey. His sister, 21-year-old Madie Stockfish plays NCAA Division 1 women's hockey at Brown University.
