It's not usual to see a man wandering a shopping area armed with a machete.
So when someone noticed what police call a 'suspicious person' the cops were called.
Police say that a man was carrying a large machete, in the event he needed to use if for his own protection. Police seized the weapon as evidence.
The arrest took place at the North Bay Mall on Lakeshore Drive on Friday October 14 shortly before 5 p.m.,
North Bay Police arrested and charged Robert John Harris, age 63, of North Bay with one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Harris was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for November 22nd.
