North Bay OPP is investigating the scene of a school bus collision on Edmonds Road in East Ferris Township.

Police, Fire, Ambulance and Hydro One were dispatched at approximately 8:25 a.m. today (Monday, September 10th, 2007) to a school bus collision on Edmonds Road in East Ferris Township. The children were enroute to St-Thomas d’Aquin school when the bus they were on was involved in a collision. The bus driver was travelling eastbound when it came upon a westbound vehicle and pulled over too far on the shoulder and slid into the ditch. The bus then struck a hydro pole, which caught fire. The bus driver was able to safely remove all passengers to a nearby location. No one was injured as a result of the collision.

Edmonds Road remains close at this time as police, fire and Hydro One are still at the scene.
