North Bay's Ryan Hunter received some difficult news early this week when he did not make the cut for the LA Chargers final roster earlier this week.

After being waived by the Chargers early in the week, SI.com  reports that Hunter was reassigned to the club's practice squad.

Hunter played in the Chargers' last pre-season contest in Seattle as the Chargers were blanked 27-0 by the Seahawks on Saturday at Lumen Field.

The 26-year-old Hunter signed with the Chiefs in February of 2019, and won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in February of 2020.

He was released by the team following training camp in September, only a few days after he received his Super Bowl ring.

Shortly after that, he was picked up by the LA Chargers in early October of 2020.

Hunter joined the Chargers last season and he spent the majority of his time with the practice squad.

The Algonquin alum originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs in 2018.

He was also a 2018 CFL first-round selection of the Toronto Argonauts.
