RCMP raid Conservative party headquarters

CBC Television is reporting that the the RCMP searched Conservative party headquarters in Ottawa today at the request of Elections Canada.

The raid is said to be part of an Elections Canada probe
and that elections commissioner William Corbett requested the assistance of the Mounties to execute a search warrant.

Reports indicate that the raid is to be part of an Elections Canada probe into campaign financing and election ads.
