Police Emergency Response Team training throughout the city

City police say its Emergency Response Team (ERT) will be training today at various locations throughout the city.

You should not be alarmed if you see an increased police presence in different areas of North Bay, as the team continues to train with the ERT from Peel Regional Police Service according to a news release. 

"The training will not result in the closure of any streets or the disruption of daily activities for members of the public and signs will be erected to indicate the training locations," say police.

The North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team uses specialized skills, tactics, and equipment to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations. Members of the North Bay Police Service’s ERT receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents.
