Police break up large street fight

On the 28th of Aug. an argument took place between two individuals and a fight ensued.

The two left each other but later one of the males along with two friends were confronted by approximately 12 other youths at their residence.

A fight broke out and the larger group began beating the three males.

One of these 3 males received stitches and staples to his head as well as welts and bruising in the facial area, swollen eyes and lost consciousness. It was believed that one of the 12 was principally responsible for these injuries.

Cst. Jeff Warner and several other police officers from the North Bay Police responded as well as an ambulance.
Arthur MAILLET 18 years old of Main St. E. is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.

The investigation continues.
