OPP: Teen driver clocked at 60 over limit on Highway 11

The driver from Sturgeon Falls was charged with stunt driving, their driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days

The Ontario Provincial Police reports pulling over a teenage driver on July 30, 2024, for travelling 140 kilometres per hour in an 80 km/h zone within North Bay city limits, on Highway 11 southbound, near the turnoff to the Highway 17 East overpass.

North Bay OPP shared on social media it was conducting stationary traffic enforcement when it observed the vehicle. 

The 18-year-old driver from Sturgeon Falls was charged with stunt driving. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
