OPP lay firearm charges

Burks Falls - Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges as a result of the seizure of firearms from a home in Armour Township on April 8, 2008. During the course of the investigation an unlicensed restricted hand gun was also turned in.

Gary William Adolph, age 43 and Teryl Melanie Karioja, age 42, both of Armour Township are each charged with 5 counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm and 1 count of Possession of a Restricted Weapon Without a Licence.

Both accused were released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of May 6, 2008.

Karioja is an Ontario Provincial Police officer serving at Huntsville Detachment and was off-duty at the time of the incident.
