No thrill on Blueberry Hill

A 17-year-old girl is being sought by the North Bay Police Service because she may have information about an attack which sent a 30-year-old city man to hospital.

The attack took place Friday around 11 PM, when a large group of teenagers swarmed the man in the Twin Lakes area of North Bay in Birchhaven.

The man, his wife and four teenagers were camping off Highway 17 near Twin Lakes by the pipeline. A larger group made up of about a dozn people was at a campfire on what is known to local residents as Blueberry Hill.

Some of the members of this larger group made contact with the smaller camping group and eventually attacked the 30-year-old victim along with the two other
teenage males.

They repeatedly punched the 30-year-old and struck him in the head with a rock. He then fell to the ground where the group began to kick him.

The group then began to disperse and the victim and his friends called 911.

He was transported to hospital with injuries to his eye, jaw and ribs, and was treated and released.
Another victim had a cut to his lip and a concussion.

Det. Cst. Ray Yelle of the North Bay Police Service is
investigating this incident and is attempting to locate a 17-year-old girl whom he believes may shed light on this attack.
