An accident yesterday evening on Highway 17 W by Neccessities sent a motorcyclist to hospital with serious injuries.
OPP say it happened just before 6 p.m., on Highway 17 in Nipissing First Nation.
Investigation revealed that an eastbound motorcycle was cut off by a westbound passenger car.
"The car made a left turn in front of the motorcycle causing the rider to take evasive action and fall," said Acting Sergeant Shona Camirand. "The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital serious injuries."
The male driver of the car, a 36-year-old from North Bay was charged with careless driving.
The highway was closed for a short period of time while officers conducted an investigation.
