Bracebridge - Ontario PC Caucus Whip, Norm Miller (Parry
Sound-Muskoka MPP) today expressed his support and renewed commitment to Ontario PC Party Leader John Tory's leadership.

"Ontario needs John Tory in the Legislature," said Miller. "The McGuinty Liberals continue to fail Ontarians. They have done little in the face of unprecedented economic uncertainty and mounting job losses."

Miller made the comments in response to Tory's announcement today that he would seek a seat in the Legislature in the riding of Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock, after current MPP Laurie Scott selflessly resigned her seat.

"Laurie did the right thing - she put the good of her party and her province first. She is to be commended for this," said Miller. "Now it's up to Dalton McGuinty to call a by-election quickly, as promised, so that John Tory can continue to put forward positive ideas of fiscal responsibility and action from the floor of Ontario's Legislature."
