Mattawa Museum vandalized

Mattawa OPP are currently investigating acts of mischief caused to the Mattawa Museum located on First Street in the town of Mattawa.

Sometime between Friday, April 11th, 2008 and Friday, April 18th, 2008, unknown culprit(s) broke four light covers contained within the retaining wall of the Museum grounds. The damage is estimated at approximately $100.00; however, the Mattawa Museum had just replaced the light covers and advised that this is an ongoing issue.

Police are asking if anyone has any information in regards to this incident to please call Mattawa OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or if you wish to remain anonymous contact the Near North Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
