Local man charged with public mischief and theft

On April 21, 2008, just before midnight, CST Matt Parker of the North Bay Police received a complaint of theft gasoline, via a drive-away from an Algonquin Avenue Gas Bar.

Shortly after, on April 22nd North Bay Police received a complaint of Theft of a Motor Vehicle from a 24-year-old male. This male was cautioned about making a false report of theft of a vehicle and he maintained his story.

He eventually admitted to driving away from the gas bar without paying and falsely reporting his car stolen.

Brandon McCanna of 6th avenue West in North Bay has been released on Charges of Public Mischief and Theft, with a court date of May 27th.
