Loaded Gun

A 41-year-old North Bay man has been charged after a search of his residence.

Cst. Paul Brewer and Cst. Steve Trahan, of the North Bay Police Service, attended a home on Greenhill Av. for a weapons search, as well as related safety issue of children in the home.

As a result of the search the officers found a .22 handgun, 2 loaded clips and 300 rounds of ammunition improperly stored.

Police are still searching for a registered handgun that failed to turn up during the search

Thomas Preston, of Greenhill Avenue is charged with Unsafe Storage of a Firearm, and Possession at an Unauthorized Place. Preston will appear in court September 28, 2004.
