Adam Ranger was just five years old when he was struck and killed by a truck as he stepped off his school bus on February 11, 2000 in Mattawa, Ontario. This horrific incident devastated Adam’s parents and family members, and robbed his friends of a dear companion.

Let’s Remember Adam – Stop for the School Bus! was developed to honour the memory of Adam Ranger and to elevate public awareness of Ontario’s School Bus Stopping Law. This initiative originated in the Mattawa area and has now expanded across northeastern Ontario. The Northeastern Ontario Trauma Related Educational Steering Committee (NEOTREC) hosted a media conference to unveil a new billboard Just West of Coniston which will remind drivers of the ultimate consequence if they choose not to stop for the school bus.
