Kirkland OPP seek video connected with ongoing death investigation

Kirkland Lake OPP is seeking any available video footage that may assist with an ongoing death investigation.

On July 30 shortly before 4:30 p.m., OPP responded to a medical call.

A 49-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were rushed to the hospital by ambulance where they were both pronounced deceased.

Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to public safety.

Police are asking anyone with video surveillance that may show any part of Woods Street and the surrounding area, between Saturday, July 29 at 7 a.m. until Sunday, July 30 at 7 p.m. to contact Provincial Constable Meghan Onlock at the Kirkland Lake OPP detachment at 705-567-5355 or e-mail: [email protected].

The investigation is being conducted by the Kirkland Lake OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
