If Hallowe’en is your favourite time of year, and you love being scared half to death…you are in luck!

Northern Screams Blezard Valley Fields of Fear Scream Park is back with more spine-tingling excitement this month…and new attractions and special events, too.

“This is the 4th year for the Fields of Fear, which includes a completely redesigned Kooky Cirkus FreakShow Funhouse and a reimagined Hostel, which is Northern Screams premiere haunted attraction,” explained Robby Lavoie, the creative mastermind behind Northern Screams.

He added, “The Kooky Cirkus combines elements of a traditional carnival funhouse with carnival sideshow oddities to create a brand-new experience for guests…we are very excited about this very scary addition!”

The Hostel, inside a century-old former schoolhouse, will have guests fully immersed in the haunted experience in each room. “Make your way to your ghoulish guest room if you dare!” challenged Lavoie. “Gaston the innkeeper, his wife and brothers will challenge your fears as you face them head-on in this most intense and terrifying experience! You may check into the Hostel, but you may not check out.”

New this year, Lavoie and his partners have added a series of themed events to enhance the haunted experience. These events will have you planning to come more than just once.

The haunt opens on Friday, October 11 with the Wicked Wares Outdoor Night Market, featuring 25 plus local Hallowe’en, horror, and pop culture vendors.

On Sunday, October 20 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Northern Screams will be hosting a PumpkinFest which will include family friendly activities, face painting, balloon twisters, carnival games, a dinomaze and a lights-on tour of both regular attractions. “This is our more family-friendly day, for those with younger kids,” explained Lavoie.

On Sunday, October 27 things will go into high gear with the Night Tires Trunk or Treat from 7 to 10 p.m. Lavoie explained, “The Night Tires will feature lit-up custom trucks, rat rods and muscle cars that don't typically show off very well during daytime car shows. Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and go trick or treating from car to car in this fully accessible Trunk or Treat event!”

The last night of the haunt will be Wednesday, October 30, for Devil's Night.

“Northern Screams Attractions has been recognized as one of the top five must-see Haunted Attractions by Ontario Travel, and we have received national media attention from the Globe and Mail. Narcity Magazine and Breakfast TV for our innovation and ability to increase the scare factor while enhancing the patron experience,” said Lavoie.

He completed, “Hallowe’en is my favorite time of year. My team and I have been working very hard to create new experiences for visitors and raise the bar year-over-year to deliver the highest quality of award-winning attractions that patrons have come to expect from Northern Screams! We look forward to giving you a screamingly good time!”
